Ten Hag also invited Holden to visit Carrington, which he called an invaluable experience for a young coach. This gesture of kindness and hospitality from Ten Hag is undoubtedly a cool number from the United boss!
Charlton Athletic manager Dean Holden has backed Manchester United to win the Champions League Cup.
Holden revealed his position following United’s 3-0 win over his side. United scored goals thanks to Anthony and Marcus Rashford double.
Holden, who turned out to be a huge United fan and even a season ticket holder for several decades, described managing Old Trafford as a magical experience.
The Charlton the boss said: “It was just magical [managing the team at Old Trafford]. It was an amazing experience. I have been sitting in the four corners of this stadium for many years [as a fan] and I never thought I would ever end up in the tech field.

Holden added: “I spent 10 or 15 minutes with Ten Hag after the game. My respect for him is even greater.
The 43-year-old revealed details of his meeting with Ten Hag and the incredible gesture the United manager made towards him.
Holden said Ten Hug invited him to his office after the game where they had a discussion.
The two managers had a beer together, after which Ten Hag presented him with a bottle of wine for his wife and a worn-out Marcus Rashford T-shirt.
The United boss invites opposing coaches for a bottle of wine after the match – an age-old tradition made popular by the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
In addition to this, Ten Haag invited Holden to visit Carrington and see how the team practices and goes about their day-to-day operations.
Holden, pleased to be able to visit Carrington, called this opportunity an invaluable experience for an ambitious young coach like him.
