The comedian actor, who has starred in several sensational projects throughout his long career, was honored with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes. Eddie Murphy unexpectedly joked that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars
“My name is Dolemit” star made a mean Oscar Slapgate joke during his acceptance speech. Since about half of his life (almost 46 years) the actor spent time in show business, he wasted no time in naming all the people who made it possible. Instead, he shared advice with aspiring actors in the house.
He told the actors to pay their taxes on time and not interfere in other people’s affairs. He also warned them to never try to erase Jada Pinkett Smith’s name from the tongue. The 61-year-old claims that this plan worked 100 percent for him to become a big star in Hollywood. “It’s very simple, just do three things: pay your taxes, mind your own business — and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!” he joked, as People mentioned.
For the uninitiated: Chris Rock was hosting the 2022 Academy Awards when he joked about Jada Pinkett’s alopecia. Then Will Smith in a fit of rage approached the comedian and slapped him. Before the question took a physical turn, the Independence Day star warned the comedian not to continue the joke and to stop using his wife’s name.
