The current Manchester United season has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. From the highs of a strong start to the lows of a recent dip in form, the Red Devils have been on a journey. But, with the team now just one point behind Manchester City, there is a renewed sense of optimism surrounding Old Trafford. At the heart of this resurgence is Erik ten Hag, who has been instrumental in transforming United into a competitive force. With the team still in contention for four different tournaments, squad depth will be key if they are to achieve success. One player who could prove to be vital is Facundo Pellistri, the 21 year old Uruguayan who made his long awaited debut against Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. His impressive performance has seen several clubs express an interest in taking him on loan, with some even looking to buy him outright. However, Erik ten Hag is keen for Pellistri to remain at Old Trafford and the player could be given further opportunities to impress. With the Red Devils still in with a chance of winning silverware this season, the impact of Facundo Pellistri could prove to be pivotal.

While title talks are still premature, Manchester United are gaining momentum and are currently one point behind Manchester City, who remain second.
Erik ten Hag has transformed this United team and they have shown their resilience time and time again this season.
It must be remembered that the Red Devils are the only team in the league still in with a chance of winning four tournaments.
ETH wants to keep Pellistri
And that invariably means squad depth will be sorely needed if United are to hope to win any silverware this campaign.
There are rumors of several players unhappy with the amount of minutes they are getting, and the frustration is understandable.
There will be further discussions between all parties, but The Hague and Manchester United want Pellistri to stay and there are currently no plans for new signings in this window. So departures should be expected to be limited, if at all. https://t.co/zuqE5iU4nN

But as the number of games approaches, most of these players will get a chance to impress and subsequently claim their right to a more permanent place in the first team scheme of things.
One of those players is Facundo Pellistri. He had to wait more than two-and-a-half seasons before finally making his long-awaited debut against Charlton Athletic in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Following his heroics during his 10-minute cameo, several clubs have confirmed their interest in taking the Uruguayan on loan, with some clubs even considering buying him permanently.
Agent Pellistri was trying to get him to move
His agent flew to Manchester to open negotiations with the club, but according to South American journalist Jorge Nicolas Ten Haag has made it clear that he wants the Uruguay international to stay.
“The agent is said to have had at least two meetings with the Red Devils and the answer was ‘not positive’ because Erik ten Hag liked what he saw in the youngster,” Sport Witness quoted the journalist as saying.
Brazilian club Botafogo have asked to include a right-to-buy clause along with Serie A side Bologna, while Flamengo, Watford and Valencia have all requested an outright loan.
Right now it looks like 21 years old will get further chances to impress and if he can continue in the vein he did against the Addicks, who knows what it could do for his burgeoning career.
