Ghanaian comedian Afia Schwarzenegger has lost her brother, Richard Osei Bonsu. Afia shared the news of her brother’s death via Instagram with the caption;
“My brother Richard Osei Bonsu is dead. Exactly 1 week to my dad’s 1 year. Please, I am begging everyone to give me and my family privacy at this difficult time. Thanks, it’s good. Rest in peace Abane.”
Richard’s sad demise comes just days before the first anniversary of the death of their father, Mr. Augustine Adjei. The news of her brother’s death affected Afia so much that she took to social media to seek God’s forgiveness for all the pain she is going through. “God, forgive me if I have offended you. Please, God, please,” she captioned a new video of her and her brother sharing a laugh.
The cause of death of Richard Osei Bonsu
Afia Schwarzenegger, Ghanaian actress recently lost her beloved brother, Richard Osei Bonsu. She revealed the information in a dejected post on Instagram.
She revealed that she lost Richard a week before the one year anniversary of her father’s death. In January last year, the actress lost her father Agia Kojo.
However, the cause of his death has not yet been made public. Neither the actress nor other online sources revealed a cause of death. Afia Schwarzenegger, who was recently sentenced to prison by the Supreme Court, has been pleading for her release in recent headlines.
She was found guilty of contempt of court and sentenced to ten days in jail; however, she has not yet served her sentence. In the statement, the actress admitted that her behavior in United Showbiz was wrong and asked the court to forgive her behavior.
She promised to behave better in public in the future. According to Graphic Showbiz, the judge in the case, Justice Emmanuel Ankama, adjourned the hearing until January 17, 2023. The judge reportedly noted that judgment will be delivered on the said day, according to Graphic Showbiz.

The Ghana Association of Children’s Homes and Orphanages has appointed The Breakfast Show host, CEO of QAS Purified Water and Ambassador for Orphans in Ghana.
She also founded the domestic violence support group Leave2Live Foundation and the nonprofit Owontaa Street Ministry, which provides food to the less fortunate in Ghana.
