Jennifer Durr’s obituary:
Her obituary reads,
“Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend. The last day of summer has come and gone, taking our much-loved Jane with it. An advocate for animals and those less fortunate, her love was global and was often handwritten in beautiful style and mailed. One letter can take days to write, always sent with love. If you were lucky enough to receive a letter from Jane, be sure to keep it in a special place. She would like that.
“Thanks to Nicole Korol, her niece, who went out of her way to help, Nicholas and Hallie, great nephew and niece, and brother-in-law Ken, who called often to check on Jennifer. Alan was always there to help when he could.
Daughter Alison was more than a daughter, they were best friends. Jay spent many happy hours running errands. To the many doctors and nurses who truly cared for her. God bless you, you are angels without wings. Take care, we all need you. Special thanks to Tracy Demers, her respiratory technician in Kamloops. A true professional, kind and caring.”
“An old soul, like Jane. Jennifer would ask us all to be kind, especially to the less fortunate and always kind to animals. She would want us to do the right thing, whatever that is. We all know inside ourselves what that is. We feel her love and spirit everywhere.
We’re not saying goodbye to such an amazing woman, we’re saying we’ll catch up with her on the road, wherever she takes us. If you wish, please donate on Jennifer’s behalf to the advocacy of all beasts great and small.’
Who Was Jennifer Durr?
Jennifer Durr was an actress on the popular television series “Alaska Gold Rush”.
Gold Rush: Alaska is a reality television program shown on Discovery and its international affiliates. The series chronicles the efforts of various family-run mining operations to find placer gold, primarily in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada, and Alaska, US states.
The program is currently in its 12th season starting in 2021. In earlier seasons, mining took place in South America and western North America.
A team from Sandy, Oregon, a small town 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of Portland, was looking for gold.
The men had lost their jobs due to the bad economy, so they decided to take a dangerous journey to Porcupine Creek, Alaska to search for gold.
Most of the show’s participants had little to no prior knowledge of gold mining, so they had to learn it on the job. By the end of the season, Hoffman’s team had found 14.64 ounces of gold.
