A popular TikToker known as Corinne_1 on the app has died aged 42, friends and family have confirmed. On January 10, a friend and fellow TikToker “curly” confirmed the December 29 death of Corinne, who was 42.

“We lost Corinne, Corinne passed away,” she said. “Her close friends are just learning. And she deserves to be celebrated, and I ask you to do so. She was a light in this application.

“Great mom, great friend.”

Cause of death

A friend of Corinne wrote, “Your mom was such a rare, sweet, fierce, loving, kind soul!” Jillian replied, “She was an amazing person. Thank you.”

The cause of death has not been made public. Corinne’s friend said: “Out of respect for the family’s wishes we are not discussing the details and just ask that we all focus on her life and the impact on us.”

Tributes paid to Corinne on social media

Corinne’s daughter, Jillian, also took to TikTok and responded to some comments, sending condolences. One supporter wrote: “Your mother was such a rare, sweet, fierce, loving, kind soul!” Jillian replied: “She was an amazing person. Thank you.”

Corinne’s death is the second notable death of a TikTok creator in 2023, following the death of Noah Brady, who also had hundreds of thousands of followers on the app.
