Frankie Muniz is taking his acting career in a new direction as he prepares to become a regular NASCAR driver. The beloved star of “Malcolm in the Spotlight” is set to compete in the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway next month. Muniz will race the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones in races that begin on February 18. He is looking forward to not only showing his ability on the track, but also showing his son and family what it means to chase your dreams and reinvent yourself. Muniz is also hopeful that his former co-star Bryan Cranston may be in the process of writing a reboot of “Malcolm in the Spotlight”. The actor, who played the title character on the beloved sitcom, will compete in the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway next month.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Muniz will race the No. 30 Ford Mustang for Rette Jones in races that begin on February 18.

“Since I was a child, I dreamed of competing NASCAR, and it was important to me to work with a team that fits my long-term goals and vision while providing every possible opportunity to grow mentally and physically as a full-time competitor.”
