Twitch streamer Sapharic was criticized on Twitter after trolling fans with a satirical claim that viewers go to the bathroom while watching streams.
It’s no secret that Twitch is a fantastic way to gain popularity and grow your online community. The streaming platform allows content creators to interact directly with viewers by entertaining them.
It’s also a great way to boost your ego, as some Twitch streamers become very entitled and feel that their audience “owes” them for the entertainment they provide. Whether in the form of donations, subscriptions, or even just their attention, some streamers have been criticized over the years for making strange demands of their viewers.
Oddly enough, this is exactly what happened when on January 16 Twitch streamer Safarik tweeted a satirical plea to his fans.
I cannot stress this enough. TWITCH VIEWERS, stop taking bathroom breaks and stepping away from your computers/phones while your favorite streamer is live. that is DISRESPECTFUL and rude. we take time out of our days to entertain you. the least you can do is watch.

In a tweet, Shafarik sarcastically joked that Twitch viewers should “stop taking bathroom breaks and step away” from their computer while watching the broadcast. She then explained her strange point of view.
“It’s disrespectful and rude. These days we find time to entertain you. The least you can do is watch.
Some users understood the satire Sapharic was aiming for and responded in kind. “That’s for sure. That’s why I wear a diaper when I watch streams,” reads one response.
Some even went so far as to introduce new strategies to help viewers clear potty breaks.
Drinking your own urine is also hydrating. They could skip bathroom and water breaks simply by being more efficient. It’s like they don’t even care.

However, others did not understand so quickly and believed completely To Shafarik will, which is why she took a lot of heat for her comment.
“This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” one user tweeted.
While some were confused by the legitimacy of the post, they were still outraged by the comment. “Satire? Just in case… no, you get ad revenue. If someone wants or needs to move away, they are allowed, cow.
some people took this WAY too seriously 😭 i can’t believe she is so ungrateful to her viewers 😡 canceled! https://t.co/L33t6eKcFQ

The safari flack caught was bad enough to prompt her to make another sarcastic statement, this time clarifying the situation by admitting that several Twitter users took the original post “too seriously”.
