Choi Yeon Discusses Image and Music Transition for First Single “Love War”
On January 16th, lead singer Choi Yeona talked in detail about her first single ‘Love War’.
The idol appeared at the album launch hosted by host Kim Il Jung. With the release of the idol’s dark music video, her Jigumi fans couldn’t wait for what Jenna had in store. They were also curious as to how Jena came up with the album’s poignant concept.
Jena talked about how she tried to change something as an artist and explained how this album will show new sides of her. The host also talked about how Jenna turned 180 degrees for “Love War” in contrast to her catchy releases “SMILEY” and “SMARTPHONE.”
“I tried to change the situation to show my growth as a musician. You will see a new side of Jena through his album.
They then introduced BE’O, one of the artists who were featured on Yena’s title track. Jenna said that in a conversation with the track’s producer, she had BE’O in mind as an ideal candidate for the role. BE’O also agreed that “Love War” creates a different atmosphere compared to Jena’s previous songs.
Jena then developed the album’s tracks, in which she took a lyrical part. She introduced the first track “Love is Over”, which exudes a classic intro. The idol then introduced the second song “Wash Away”, telling the story of a broken heart and the healing it needs.
