According to some players of reddit, Destiny 2 characters have been mysteriously removed from the game.
According to PCGamesN, many fans are claiming that they have been unable to access certain characters in the multiplayer first-person shooter. Some of the affected gamers are said to have spent a lot of time developing these online Guardian characters.
Recently, on reddit, one player said Destiny 2 “deleted” his mage after “several days” of inactivity in the game.
“I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary. I downloaded the game and pressed A to start playing. I waited a few seconds and got an error code, then went back to the main screen,” the message said.
“When I tried to re-enter the character screen, there was no mage there. I still have my titan and hunter but no mage. My mage was my main character and the one that had all my old weapons that you won’t find anymore.
“I have proof that I attacked my mage 2 days ago and then proof that he is gone.”
Apparently someone deleted one of their characters after receiving a “Connecting to Destiny Servers” notification.

Elsewhere else Reddit The user reported in a post that their own Warlock character also suddenly disappeared. According to the latest player update, they still haven’t recovered their character.
A third gamer on Reddit last week said his character Titan had disappeared after notifying the game’s server. They eventually reported a successful recovery, but then the Titan only played 200 hours instead of the correct 1500 hours.
Some fans have speculated that the issue may be related to Destiny 2 shutting down on Stadia today (January 18).
In response, Bungie advised players who have characters on Stadia accounts to save them on other platforms using cross-save to prevent possible issues.
But at least one of the gamers said that in this case, Stadia cross-save might not be an issue because they don’t have a Stadia account.
Meanwhile, Destiny 2: Lightfall is due out on February 28. The seventh expansion pack for the game will follow last year’s The witch queen.
In a four-star review of the latest issue, NME wrote: “The Witch Queen is the pinnacle of what Destiny could be. A great campaign backed by an amazing villain with supporting characters and quests that are just as compelling, the latest expansion delivers everything you could ask for as you create the next three years of content.
“The witch queen not only does it feel like the end of several years of questionable design decisions, but a new beginning that hits all the right notes from the start.”
