How did Haven Hughes die?

Haven Hughes, a 22-year-old news reporter, had an accident. A 22-year-old woman who worked as a reporter for KARK 4 was killed Monday night in a collision between a car and the motorcycle she was riding, according to a news release from Little Rock police Tuesday.

Officers found Hughes, of Little Rock, and Mark Hudson, 34, also of Little Rock, lying on the ground near 9400 Stagecoach Road. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the Hudson motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Haven Hughes Cause of Death:

Rising star reporter Hughes died in a road accident last night. Haven Hughes’ cause of death was an accident. Little Rock Public Relations confirmed the journalist’s death.

Patrol officers responded to an incident that occurred in the 9400 block of Stagecoach Road on Monday. The accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle took the life of the journalist.

The motorcycle’s driver, Mark Hudson, 34, also died at the scene. The first emergency teams reported her death at the scene.

Police spokesman Mark Edwards said the collision happened around 7:25 p.m

The driver of the second vehicle was escorted to the 12th Precinct Police Station where a urine sample was taken for a legally required toxicology test. No charges have been filed and police are currently investigating the case.

She spent her entire day at MLK Day events and was covering the news there just hours before her death.
