Milagros Soto, a 12-year-old girl who participated in the dangerous TikTok challenge, has sadly passed away.
“We are inconsolable because we gave her so much love,” the victim’s aunt, Laura Luecke, told Jam Press about the Jan. 13 incident in Capitan Bermudez, Santa Fe province.
Her niece, Milagros Soto, was found dead in her home after apparently trying the “choking challenge,” one of the tragic trends on TikTok.

Regarding the fatal incident, which was allegedly caught on camera, Luecke regretted that “the third time she couldn’t get the rope off her neck.”
It is not yet known why Soto attempted the dangerous stunt. However, her aunt claims the youngster received a WhatsApp message with a link to the challenge after being bullied at school.
The victim’s aunt, Laura Luecke, said: “I believe someone influenced her to do it.” She suffered a lot from the bullying, her relative said. “A lot of doubts about everything that happened to her,” as “she was a very clever girl,” added her aunt.

Case against TikTok:
After watching blackout challenge videos on the platform, two California girls committed suicide by hanging themselves, sparking wrongful-death lawsuits against TikTok.
According to the lawsuit, “TikTok invested billions of dollars to intentionally design and develop its product to encourage, enable, and push content to teenagers and children that the defendant knew was problematic and highly harmful to the mental health of its underage users.”
However, there have been no responses from TikTok. TikTok has previously denied blame for the ongoing problem, claiming the youths’ “choking game” injuries occurred before the blackout challenge.
TikTok users are asked to report anyone participating in the challenge by clicking the “Report” icon.
