Liverpool have confirmed the return of goalkeeper Jakub Odzynski after a disappointing loan spell from Radomjak Radom, where he played three times.
Oyriznski returned to his native Poland in June when he joined Radomyak’s side, who finished seventh in their first season in the Ekstraklasa.
Under the guidance of Mariusz Lewandowski, The 19-year-old made only occasional appearances, but he was preferred over another loanee, Gabriel Kobiljak, as the main goalkeeper.
After three games into the first half of the campaign, Ozzynski was left out of Radomyak’s squad, who left for Turkey for a mid-season training camp, and was replaced by returning loanee Albert Posiadala.
It was then confirmed on Tuesday night that Liverpool had terminated the deal to allow their youngster to return to Merseyside.
Ozzynski has signed a long-term contract with Anfield and it is quite possible that he will remain with the under-21 team for the second half of the season.
This is expected to happen with Billy Kumetio and Max Woltmann, who have already been recalled from their loans to Austria Wien and Doncaster Rovers respectively.
It comes as part of a shake-up in the academy ranks which has seen U21 captain Jake Kane follow former team-mate Tom Clayton to Swindon Town.
Kane, who has been at Liverpool since the age of nine, decided to join the League Two side permanently, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal after Swindon paid an undisclosed fee.
He is unlikely to be the last young player to leave in January as the Reds are believed to be considering temporary deals for the likes of Jarrell Quanza and James Norris.
However, it remains to be seen whether any more recruits will be called in, and there is a chance that Marcelo Pitaluga’s stay at Macclesfield will come to an end in order to find a higher-ranked club in the Football League.
No movement Tyler Morton or Conor Bradley is expected, while Leighton Clarkson has been persuaded to stay at Aberdeen despite interest from QPR, West Brom and Reading.
