“After careful consideration and discussions with our management team, we have received permission to share the information you are eagerly awaiting.
“This month we will be releasing raw gameplay footage in accordance with the many requests we have received from our community. These frameworks will demonstrate most of the features and game elements requested by our community and give a clear view of the current state of development of The Day Before.”
According to Steam, The Day Before is scheduled for release on March 1st, although Fntastic’s statement hinted at the possibility of further development.
In June last year, it turned out that Fantastic uses free volunteers to create the game.
The developer then defended the use of unpaid “volunteers,” writing in a website update that: “Fntastic’s culture is based on the idea of volunteering. This means that everyone involved in Fntastic is a volunteer.”
It was further explained that while “full-time volunteers” are essentially paid employees, “part-time volunteers” are unpaid developers who instead receive “cool rewards, certificates of participation, and free codes” for their work.
