A woman went viral TikTok after revealing that her Uber driver took her home after she asked him to turn off the music.
In a 57-second clip with more than 400,000 views in one day, the Marleville content creator said she ordered a morning Uber pickup to get to the airport. She asked for a “quiet ride” with no “music or conversation.”
However, when the driver arrived, there was loud music playing in the car as they drove. Marleville said she then politely asked for the music to be turned down. She explained that the driver turned it off “with one click.”
About ten minutes into the ride, with the loud music still playing, she asked him if he could just turn the music off until they got to the airport. Instead, the driver gave her an unexpected answer.
“He said, ‘I’m just going to drive you home,’ and he came back,” she recalled TikToker.

In a follow-up video, Marleville explained that the driver did not know her address when he decided to take her home because he asked her to give it to him.
“I had to give him my address, which is now a security issue for me,” she said. “I’m trying to put things into perspective. I was confused but not angry… I hope he was kinder to his next competitor.”

Marleville said she was able to find a new driver and another flight so she could get to her destination.
TikTok users supported the content creator in the comments, including several Uber drivers.
“Choosing QUIET RIDE is not in vain. Who takes Uber in the morning and then gets mad that someone doesn’t need music, let alone EXPLOSIVE volume?” asked one user.
“As a former Uber driver I am shocked! I’m really sorry this happened to you,” wrote another.
“You don’t deserve to be treated like this. This weight is for him. Glad you’re safe,” said a third.
This isn’t the first Uber-related video to surface TikTok; previously, an Uber driver was filmed breaking into a woman’s apartment while she slept.
