McClaude Bridges Jr. was arrested for assaulting Arianna Sims. Let’s see who McClaude Bridges Jr. is in detail.
What happened to Ariana Sims?
Arianna Sims and her 4-year-old daughter were on their way to University Park Mall to spend the afternoon shopping when they were attacked in the parking lot.
“It could have been a lot worse and I’m thankful he didn’t get what he wanted,” Sims said.
At University Park Mall in Mishawaka, she allegedly parked her car in front of a Barnes & Noble.
Ariana SimsA mother of a 4-year-old shared her horrifying story on her Facebook timeline, with the message reading:
“Hello friends. I have a story I’d like to share, mostly for educational purposes. Yesterday, my four-year-old daughter and I decided to go to the mall. We pulled into the almost empty parking lot at 11:15 in the morning,” she added.
“The mall doesn’t open until noon. I noticed a Subaru with darker windows parked a row ahead of us, facing my car. I grabbed my phone to make sure Barnes & Noble was open, and at that moment the Subaru pulled up and parked right next to me. I should have been smarter and known that was a bad sign.
I got out and went to the back seat to start lifting my daughter out of her seat. That same second a man with a large kitchen knife grabbed me and forced me back into the front seat and passenger side and got into my car. He immediately asked for my keys and started my car.
I started begging him to let me get my daughter out so he could keep the car. He then asked for my bank card. I gave him all my money and my credit card and asked him again to let me take my daughter out. I started panicking and apologizing that I had nothing more to give him.
I repeatedly said “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, please don’t do this.” And then he put his hand on my shirt and other places. He made me get into the back seat, told me to sit on the floor and told me to put my daughter’s blanket over my head. I realized that if I didn’t get us out before he drove my car, it wasn’t going to end well for us. I asked him to let me fasten her. I turned my back on him and pretended to fasten her. I unbuckled her, grabbed her and ran out the back passenger door screaming as loud as I could. He was running. I don’t know if they caught him. Ladies, moms, girlfriends..
Be more careful than me. Check your surroundings before unlocking your doors and especially before getting out of the car. It could have ended a lot worse for my baby girl and I, but I’m so thankful we got away. The trauma will stay with us both for a while. I am grateful to the witnesses who did not hesitate to come running when they saw and heard me screaming and running from my own car.
I am grateful for the quick and proactive response from the Mishawaka Police Department and its detectives. I am thankful for the three most special people in my life who were there within minutes to help us start feeling safe and secure again. I’m thankful there was no gun. I’m thankful he didn’t use the knife and that he didn’t get what he wanted. It will probably be a while before we go anywhere alone together!”
“She’s not as happy today as she usually is,” Sims said. “I think he took away a 4-year-old girl’s sense of security. That’s going to be hard for us to give back to her. But I think with enough time and help.
