Who was Dominic Rubino?
Dominick Rubino was an active member of Franklin Park Firefighters Local 1526 for almost a decade. During his time with the union, he advocated for better working conditions and wages for all firefighters, as well as improved safety protocols. He also works tirelessly to ensure all firefighters are properly trained and equipped to respond to emergencies. His activism in the union made him an invaluable asset to the organization and his leadership will be sorely missed.
In addition to being an active member of the union, Dominic was heavily involved in his community. He regularly volunteered at local charities and helped organize events such as blood drives, food drives and toy drives. He was also passionate about animal welfare and worked closely with animal shelters throughout Illinois to help care for stray animals in need. The organization has established a memorial fund in Dominique’s honor that will provide financial assistance to families affected by fire or natural disasters in Illinois. Contributions can be made through the GoFundMe page set up by JoAnna Saputo-Nunes, one of Dominic’s closest friends, who announced his death earlier today.
