United played well in the first half, almost matching Arsenal in possession.
Eddie Nketiah canceled out Marcus Rashford’s first strike.
In the second half, Arsenal stepped up and pushed United’s defensive line even further.
The Gunners took the lead thanks to Bukayo Sake, but United responded with a towering goal from Martinez.
The Argentine was United’s standout player throughout the game.
In his post-match interview, he said the team needed to pull themselves together and move forward.
We are disappointed because we wanted to win the game.
“We have to keep our heads up and continue the fight. It’s hard, but it’s true. You have to be strong. We should learn from it too. It cannot be repeated.”

He was overjoyed to score his first goal for the club. This could be seen at his celebrations.
