2022 was a big year for the Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox. Not only did they make strides in their personal lives by getting engaged, the flamboyant couple starred in the movie “Good Mourning,” the musician released a documentary on Hulu (which showcases MGK’s wildest moments), and won an American Music Award for Favorite Rock Artist. It turns out that the singer/actor is in for more awards this year, but maybe not the ones he was hoping for. “Good Mourning” just received seven nominations for this year’s Razzie Awards, which celebrate the worst cinematic achievements.
Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) not only starred in the movie “Good Mourning” with his fiancee, he wrote the script and directed the movie along with Mod San. In the maligned comedy about the Stoner family, MGK stars as movie star Landon Clash, who tries to find his girlfriend Apple (Becky G) after receiving a strange message from her. In addition to the Worst Picture nomination, the film received a Razzie nod for Worst Actor (Baker); two for Worst Supporting Actor (Maud Sun and Pete Davidson for his cameo); Worst Screen Couple (MGK and Maude San), Worst Director and Worst Screenplay.
Given that only nine “prizes” are awarded. golden raspberry, seven nominations is a pretty impressive feat, but again not in the way MGK was probably hoping for. At least Megan Fox avoided the Worst Supporting Actress nomination! The film received an abysmal 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes out of seven critic reviews, but the audience score was a much more lenient 60% Fresh when rated by more than 100 people.
The film Machine Gun Kelly, which was apparently inspired by a text sent to it by Megan Fox, was not awarded the most Razzie nominations in 2023. The NC-17-rated Netflix biopic “Blonde” won that award, collecting nine and Disney’s dark remake of Pinocchio and Morbius also appeared in several categories.
Kelly machine gun hasn’t responded to Razi’s ad yet, and there’s been no word from Megan Fox, but the two have definitely been hitting back at their haters lately. MGK addressed his critics in his AMAs acceptance speech in the Favorite Rock Artist category and responded with applause after being roasted for his outfits at Milan Fashion Week. His butt-toting fiancee also faced trolls who mistook one of her tattoos for hair and accused her of neglecting her children.
The bloodsucking couple may have more important things to do as they just celebrated their one year engagement and are hopefully heading down a creepy walk down the aisle. Maybe they’ll have a better chance if they actually leave Razi when the “winners” are announced on March 11 – the night before the Academy Awards ceremony.
