Cleveland home shooting explained:
An initial shooting at a residence on Mack Court on Cleveland’s west side killed three people and left a man and a child fighting for their lives in the hospital.
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene. The named victims, 34-year-old Angelique Gonzalez, her 69-year-old father, Miguel Gonzalez, and her 16-year-old son, Jaden Baez, were found dead at a Cleveland residence.
Anthony Booth, 48, a fourth shooting victim who was treated at the hospital, died at MetroHealth Medical Center over the weekend, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office and police.
The 8-year-old daughter was also shot, and was taken to the “MetroHealth” hospital in serious condition.
On Sunday, police said the child was still in the hospital. An 8-year-old remains hospitalized and is in critical condition, according to the affidavit.

Who is Martin Munitz?
A man is accused of shooting four people and injuring an 8-year-old child Friday night at a downtown Brooklyn residence in Cleveland.
Martin Munitz, 41, was charged with three counts of aggravated murder on Sunday, according to court documents. More charges may be filed. He is scheduled to appear in Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday.
Police said Angelique, Miguel and Jaden are Muniz’s sister, father and nephew. According to Muniz’s affidavit, he allegedly shot the five family members in the head at different locations in the home.
Muniz was taken into custody and charged with the murders of his father, sister and nephew at a home in the 3700 block of Mack Court.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Cleveland Municipal Court, Muniz shot all five victims in the head around 7:10 p.m. on Jan. 13.
Around 7:50 p.m., Munitz alerted police and informed them of the gunshot and the location of the victims, according to police.
Police were called to the home around 8 p.m. Friday after receiving reports that multiple people had been shot.
Police statement:
At the scene of the crash, Cleveland Police Chief Wayne Drummond said, “We’re preliminarily thinking it’s domestic related. Our hearts go out to the family, relatives and so on and it is currently being investigated.”
Councilwoman Jasmine Santana and Cleveland City Council President Blaine A. Griffin issued the following statement regarding the shooting:
Death in the city is always a loss. This family tragedy is heartbreaking.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victims. We are grateful for the quick actions of our law enforcement officers and the community in apprehending the suspect alleged to be responsible for this horrific crime.

Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb also released a statement regarding the shooting:
It’s been a painful week as we face the devastation caused by another horrific act of gun violence in our city.
Tonight’s incident is particularly horrific because it happened at home, a place where a family should feel safe and secure.
My prayers are with the victims and their families, friends and neighbors as they deal with this tragic situation. I am also grateful to the responding police officers for their assistance, securing the neighborhood and quickly apprehending the suspect. We will provide updates as the situation develops.
Police said Saturday that Muniz is the nephew of Miguel Gonzalez, 69, and the half-brother of Angelique Gonzalez, 34, who were both killed. Baez, 16, is the son of Angelique Gonzalez.
