“My Dopamine: Listen to the New Romantic Song from You Me At Six”

Introducing the latest single from Weybridge rock band You Me At Six, “:mydopamine:” is a track with a more upbeat and romantic tone compared to their previous releases. Frontman Josh Franceschi speaks of the track, saying that it is about someone who made you feel good and alive. The single is the fifth from their upcoming album Truth Decay, which has been pushed back to February 10th due to vinyl production issues. With a goal to create something that’s more in line with a time when we really know who we are, Franceschi has expressed that the album is emotionally difficult and honest. To promote the album, You Me At Six will be touring the UK in February with Waterparks, The Maine and Bears In Trees. Additionally, the band will be performing at Reading and Leeds this summer. Fans can expect an exciting and emotional experience from the album and tour.

You made me six presented a new song “:mydopamine:”.

The track is the fifth single from the Weybridge rock band’s upcoming eighth album Truth Decay and has a more upbeat and romantic tone than their previously released singles.

Speaking of the track, front man Josh Franceschi said: “Dopamine is a feel-good chemical in the body, it is responsible for providing pleasure, satisfaction and motivation. This song is about someone who was there for you, made you feel good, made you feel alive.”

The track follows the singles “heartLESS”, “Mixed Emotions (I Didn’t Know How to Tell You What I Was Going Through)”, “No Future? Yeah Right” (featuring Rowe Reynolds of Enter Shikari) and “Deep Cuts”.

Earlier this week, You Me At Six announced that the release date for “Truth Decay” has been pushed back due to vinyl production issues. The album will be released on February 10th, two weeks after the original date of January 27th.

Franceschi told NME last year that “the goal of ‘Truth Decay’ is to create something that’s more in line with a time when we feel like we really know who we are.”

“The biggest stadium rock band in the country is Muse. The most famous indie band in the country is Foals. The biggest metalcore band is Architects. All these groups have their own flag and their own identity. I want us to be an emo band.”

Franceschi later said in an interview, “Because of everything we’ve been through in the last few years, it’s an emotionally difficult album. It was important for me to be honest about what I saw around me. I was compelled to write about things that seemed intuitive.
