Elvis’ only child died yesterday (January 12) aged 54, hours after she was rushed to hospital following a cardiac arrest.
Cage began dating Presley in 2001, and although they broke up in early 2002, they got back together and married in August 2002.
Three months later, Cell filed for divorce, although they did not finalize the divorce until 2004.
Following Presley’s death, the Hollywood actor said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight: “This is devastating news. Lisa had the loudest laugh I’ve ever met. She lit up every room and I am heartbroken. I find some comfort in the fact that she was reunited with her son Benjamin.
Presley was married four times. She was married to Danny Keough from 1988 to 1994 and had two children with the musician. In 2020, one of her two children with Keo, Benjamin, died at the age of 21. In a statement released at the time by her representative Roger Vidinowski, Presley said: “She adored this boy. He was the love of her life.” The message did not specify the cause of death.
Presley was married to Michael Jackson for 18 months in 1994 before marrying actor Nicolas Cage in 2002. Her last marriage was to Michael Lockwood, her guitarist, music producer and director, to whom she was married for Ten years.
During her music career, she released three studio albums between 2003 and 2012. Her first two albums – ‘To Whom It May Concern’ (2003) and ‘Now What’ (2004) – both reached the top 10 on the charts for albums Billboard 200 . .
In 2016, Presley filed for divorce from Lockwood, which was eventually finalized in 2021.
Presley’s last public appearance was just a few days ago (January 11) at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, which she attended with her mother to celebrate the release of the Elvis biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann.
