Introduction: It’s been almost a year since the release of the fourth season of the spectacular crime drama series Ozark, and the buzz around it is still going strong. Fans of the show are especially looking forward to the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards, where the Ozark cast is leading the nominations. Jason Bateman is nominated for the Best Actor in a Drama Series award, while Julia Garner and Laura Linney are both nominated for the Actress in a Drama Series award. Other crime shows like Better Call Saul and Barry have also generated a lot of buzz, but Ozark is leading the charge. Will Jason Bateman continue his winning streak this year? We’ll have to wait and see.

Almost a year has passed and it has become especially interesting for moviegoers, but fans still haven’t finished the 4th season of Ozark. And judging by the SAG Awards nominations, it looks like award shows share the same sentiments. The spectacular crime drama released Season 4 in two parts on Netflix. One in January and then in April. But the buzz surrounding the series has yet to die down as we approach January 2023.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards have always been fruitful for the Ozark cast: Jason Bateman received two awards. This time, the actor has demonstrated unprecedented versatility in the fourth season of Ozark, and fans have high hopes that Bateman will become a three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner. His first appearance came in 2019 and then in 2021 when he played the mind-blowing role of Marty Bird. He’s not alone, though, as the “Ozark” cast leads the way in this year’s SAG Awards nominations.
Ozark leads the SAG Awards nominations
The SAG-AFTRA committee announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Netflix to broadcast their ceremony on the streamer’s YouTube channel to reach a wider audience. And who said the streamer’s top production doesn’t play a part in that?

In fact, Ozark almost never leaves the trending page, despite the fact that the last episode of the crime series was released almost a year ago. Therefore, it is not surprising that not only Jason Bateman leads the nominations, but also the series as a whole. Without a doubt, Jason Bateman is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

And it’s no surprise that both Julia Garner and Laura Linney are nominated for the award for actress in a drama series. Ozark fans around the world breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Laura Linney’s nomination.

In addition, the series leads the Ensemble in a drama series as well. Glory of the Ozarks Julia Garner is nominated for an actress in a TV movie or limited series. This season, “Better Call Saul” and “Barry” were two crime shows that generated the same buzz and impact as “Ozark.” And fans were happy to see Ozark leading the charge.
