Kanye West may have musical talent, but not everyone has it easy. Singer Donda has collaborated with many celebrities including Uncle Murda, Big Sean, Jay Z and more. But making music is a creatively complex process, and meeting two famous people doesn’t always go smoothly.
Ye, who ended his cooperation with fashion brands, has been accused of mistreating employees, failing to pay royalties and copying ideas. In a recent interview, Uncle Murda talked about his experience. Mentioning Big Sean, he explained why working with Ye is not easy.
Uncle Murda talks about his experience with Kanye West, defends Big Sean
It’s no secret that Big Sean and Kanye West had a pretty rough split. According to HipHopDX, Uncle Murda interviewed Dj Superstar Jay on the SiriusXM Shade45 show. Speaking about his first meeting with Ye, he explained how singer Donda approached him for help. “Try to work on that moment as well. It’s been bothering me for the past few days, I can’t think of anything.” He explained how he was already upset that he didn’t fixate on the song.
Big Sean was directly asked to start work on the tune, and although he agreed, it rubbed Uncle Murda the wrong way. It remains unclear when Uncle Murda worked with West, as the latter only wanted him to write the lyrics. But his feud with Big Sean escalated rather quickly.
They worked on songs like Mercy, Blessings and One Man Can Change The World. Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Anderson, said Ye owed him $6 million after parting ways with the GOOD music label Kanye West once said during an interview that Big Sean’s singing was the biggest mistake of his life . Although Big Sean was grateful for the opportunity Ye gave him, he was clearly offended by these remarks.
As for Uncle Murda, he was very fond of Ye’s deeds. His 2022 song Rap-Up was a 15-minute pure dedication to West’s arguments. Calling him the donkey of the year, he condemned Ye for his anti-Semitic and pro-Hitler ideas.
