The cyclical nature of pop culture can be annoying at times, but viewers will soon see perhaps the best possible example when Netflix presents the highly anticipated sitcom That ’90s Show. The new series will focus on Curtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, Red and Kitty Foreman, as their home becomes a summer retreat for granddaughter Leia (Kelly Haverda) and her band of misfit friends. Before all that, though, actors and creators (including other That ’70s Show alums) gathered at the premiere of the streaming comedy on the red carpet to remind us all just how old we’re getting.
As you can see from the show’s first major trailer, the That ’90s Show brings back most of the OG stars in one capacity or another — with the exception of the legally bound Danny Masterson — but it looks like not all of them made it to the red carpet celebration. Not that it took away from all the talented people who were actually in attendance, with demonstrations of varying levels of styling and profiling as shown below.
A few quick steps:
- I wish the bed was made from what Wilmer Valderrama wears and I would definitely keep it the same color.
- Laura Prepon looks as gorgeous as can be, though I wonder why she’s not standing next to returning TV dad Don Stark. It’s probably the height.
- In true Tommy Chong fashion, the veteran of That ’70s Show looks like he only found out about the red carpet when he happened to be walking down the street. I almost hope there’s a good reason she’s wearing different colored shoes, but I also hope there isn’t.
- Below, we take a closer look at Smith and Valderrama together, where the aging actor shows off his youthful energy by revealing what appear to be rabbit ears behind his co-star’s head in the film. Although, funnily enough, the joke didn’t quite work from the angle this photo was taken from, so it looks like he’s grinning at the idea of giving the peace sign. Which, by the way, may be the case.
Maybe instead of making a bed out of these things, I’d just change my skin and… wait, it wasn’t meant to be shared.
Um, now that we’ve seen everyone who appeared on That ’70s Show Topher Grace, Missing Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher – Check out the full group photo featuring most of the cast and crew of That ’90s Show, including OG Show creators Bonnie and Terry Turner.
I can’t wait to get back to all kinds of fun from the past when That ’90s Show premieres on Thursday, January 19th for everyone with Netflix subscription. Head over to our 2023 TV premiere schedule to find out what new and returning shows are in store.
