Taylor Lejeune, a famous TikTok food critic whose real name was waffler69, has died suddenly at the age of 33.
Clayton Claydorm, Taylor’s brother, said in a TikTok video,
“My brother Taylor…he passed away around 10:00pm on January 11th, 2023 from a suspected heart attack,”
“He was rushed to the hospital and I mean an hour and a half later he was dead. This is still pretty new. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the near future… but I thought I should go on TikTok and let everyone know.”
Taylor’s brother, who goes by the name @Claydorm on Twitter, confirmed the news to TMZ.
Clayton told TMZ that Taylor (Waffler69) called his mother after he felt sick, but as things got worse, he asked for an ambulance to take him from his home in Louisiana to a hospital. Taylor died at the hospital.
Claydorm shared a link to a GoFundMe page on his TikTok bio to raise money for his mother, who he claims “had to pay for my brother’s cremation as well as medical expenses.”
About Waffler69:
A popular social media user named Waffler69 creates daily video content. He had 1.7 million subscribers on TikTok and the majority of his videos featured food.
He posts videos where he tries different foods and gives his opinion to recommend certain foods to viewers.
At the same time, Waffler69 liked to experiment with new things and was constantly receptive to suggestions from his fans.
Waffler69 succeeded by eating weird things like a packaged cheeseburger. He was seen eating spoiled food in several of his more famous films, including stale tins and cereals produced under license and first distributed in 1989 to promote Tim Burton’s Batman film. He’s cooked meals with Dollar Tree ingredients in past movies. Viewers also enjoyed the unexpected vintage VHS tapes and DVDs that would appear in his programs.
Thanks to his success, he eventually began selling merchandise at Cameo and even created his own waffle seasoning. Taste tests conducted by Waffler69 included, among other things, boxes of outdated and unusual promotional cereals, a huge Fruit Loop that was in high demand, and even a corn dog flavored with Asian flavors. He compares comparable menu items from several fast food places in some of his favorite movies.
From fried grasshoppers to canned beef tripe, Taylor was happy to try it all. In addition to additional fans on Instagram and YouTube, he gained 1.7 million followers on TikTok as a result. He has been producing videos since 1996.
He dunked a giant-sized Froot Loop into a bowl of milk in the last food prank he posted before he died.
