Introducing Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the upcoming spin-off of the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. Developed by Ubisoft, this game promises to be an intimate and character-driven story, taking place 20 years before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Players will take on the role of Basim ibn Ishaq and follow his journey to become an assassin in 861 AD Baghdad. The game will feature stealth, fast parkour, and traditional kills, as well as a complex and linear narrative. Fans of the series can look forward to a nostalgic experience reminiscent of the earlier Assassin’s Creed games. Set to be released in 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage promises to be an exciting and engaging adventure.

Ubisoft said that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed spin-off — Assassin’s Creed Mirage — will be a smaller and more “intimate” game.
According to the new game’s creative director, Stéphane Boudon, this change is due to the “epic journey” that the last games in this series sent players through, often taking more than 100 hours of gameplay to complete.
Speaking to GamesRadar, Boudon said: “We started to hear a desire among our fans for a character-based story focused on the main pillars of the first AC on a more intimate scale.
She added, “That resonated with us as developers and that was the starting point of the project.”
The game will be released sometime after 2023, the exact release date has not yet been confirmed.
The trailer for Mirage was released last September, featuring a familiar face in a “carefully crafted, narrative-driven” game set in Baghdad.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will put players in the shoes of Basim ibn Ishaq, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 2020. However, Mirage will take place around 20 years before the events of Valhalla and follows Basim on his journey to become an assassin in 861 AD . in Baghdad.
The trailer of the movie “Mirage” introduces Basim as a street thief who is saved from being chased by a killer. From there, he is inducted into the order and trained by his mentor Roshan, who is voiced by Shor Agdashlo.
Ubisoft shared this Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a “complex, narrative” game that will be more reminiscent of the earlier Assassin’s Creed games. It will be “more focused and linear” than recent games like Odyssey and Valhalla, and will focus more on stealth, faster parkour and traditional kills.
In a list of 12 upcoming games in 2023, NME said Assassin’s Creed Mirage represents “a fantastic chance for fans to revisit everything that originally made them fall in love with the series.”
