Introducing Roadrunner Records’ 25th anniversary celebration in 2005, the label has shared a professional video of Slipknot’s iconic performance of “(sic)” featuring Corey Taylor, Paul Gray and Joey Jordison without masks. This special show was part of the release of the album “Roadrunner United” which featured 57 artists from 45 past and present Roadrunner bands. Scott Ian, Andreas Kisser and Dino Cazares were also part of the lineup. Joey Jordison, a founding member of Slipknot and Paul Gray, both of whom passed away in 2021 and 2010 respectively, were also featured in the performance. Roadrunner Records will be reissuing the Roadrunner United record in various formats on March 10, 2023 and pre-orders are now available. Slipknot’s 2022 release “The End, So Far” was their last album under the label and Corey Taylor has previously spoken out about their experience with the label. A Clown has recently announced that Slipknot’s “lost” album Look Outside Your Window could be released soon. To celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2005, Roadrunner Records selected 4 crew captains to lead 57 artists from 45 past and present Roadrunner bands to create one 18-track album entitled “Roadrunner United”.

The release was marked by a star-studded concert in December 2005 at the Nokia Theater in New York.

Earlier this year, Roadrunner announced that they would be reissuing the Roadrunner United record in various formats, and now the label has shared one of the performances from the release.

In this special rendition of “(sic)” taken from of Slipknot The self-titled 1999 album featured Corey Taylor performing unmasked alongside his late Slipknot bandmates Paul Gray and Joey Jordison.

Anthrax’s Scott Yan, Sepultura’s Andreas Kiser and Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares also participated. Check out the performance below.

Joey Jordison was a founding member of Slipknot and left the band in 2013. He died in 2021 at the age of 46. Paul Gray died in 2010 at the age of 38.

“It was amazing to be part of a lineup of such insanely strong forwards,” Scott said. “Wow! And to be able to play with Joey and Paul on the night Corey sings is definitely a wish moment for me.”

Both the original album and the live performance itself will be widely available in various configurations on March 10, 2023. Pre-orders are available here.

Speaking to NME about their decision not to renew the contract, Taylor explained that Roadrunner is “a completely different label than it was when we first signed him. Once you’re in the hands of people who don’t care, it’s just a fucking business. And so it happened.”

He added: “We’ve had to fight for every fucking release we’ve had because the people who are working on Roadrunner now think they know what they’re doing, but they really don’t. They tried to give us some fucking advice and we were like, “What are you talking about? What kind of group do you think we are?’
