On January 12th, YG officially revealed the first member of the group, Harum, through a live video of her performing Mario’s 2004 single “Let Me Love You.” At just 15 years old, Harum is sure to be a star.
YG Entertainment first announced BabyMonster in a video titled ‘YG NEXT MOVEMENT’ in late 2022. The video featured clips of the group members singing and dancing during rehearsals, as well as jokes from their label mates. YG Entertainment founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-seok described the group as a “child with YG genes,” and expressed his hopes that they will become stars that will rock the world.
BabyMonster will be the agency’s first girl group in seven years since BLACKPINK debuted in 2016. Although details about the girl group’s lineup and debut date have yet to be released, fans are already buzzing with excitement.
